Kimberley FMC Success
The FMC races held from 8-10 February 2023, in Kimberley, were a tremendous success. 73 athletes from eight countries competed in six races on the legendary Dreadnaught speed track. The race conditions, except for six inches of powder on Super-G day, were ideal and the course sets were excellent. Rave reviews have come from FIS Masters of the USA, Switzerland and Chile. All this sets us up to host the 2024 World Criterium once again in Kimberley. Exact dates will be announce shortly after the calendaring meeting in May 2023. We will be asking for early March 2024.
Special thanks go to Scott Zahn for 10 excellent course sets; to Sharon Chadwick who worked tirelessly in the background to ensure we had accurate results for the awards and to Lewis Heilig who organized the medals to make my job as announcer come off without a hitch.
